2023 Christmas Countdown and Updates (Goal: 1800 Posts)

It’s another cloudy and dreary day. It’s even misting a little. I had to make another pharmacy trip to pick up everything we need for a bandage change. For someone who was never cut out for nursing I’ve sure done my share of it over the years. Praying everything looks good and he doesn’t have to go back to the doctor until his checkup appointment.

My child brought in no less than 3 different fundraiser packets yesterday. Ugh! It’s mostly food items. I know some folks who like to buy it and put it in the freezer for those really busy days before Christmas.

I bought my first quart of eggnog for the Season. It’s in Halloween packaging. I didn’t realize how much I’d missed it.

Bandage change done and I am beyond relieved that all looks good. My husband cut the end of his thumb off. A piece of bone was broken off and it was in the cut off piece of thumb. As soon as X-rays were done we were sent to the orthopedic surgeon. Fortunately it was just a bone chip. The doctor was fantastic and had him fixed up in no time. And you would not believe how good it looks today. When the bandages came off the first thing hubby said is that his thumb was crooked. I told him for what it’s been through I thought it was pretty dang straight.

We went to a Fall Festival today and then did some running around. The weather was perfect and now I have the windows open throughout the house. It's gonna get down to 53F tonight. Great sleeping temperature.

After church today, we'll be heading to the fair. Today is its last day. The 10 days go by so fast every year. We should see the sun early with clouds moving in later this afternoon and a high of 69F. Great fair weather.

We’ve had a busy weekend. Football, a community Pumpkin Fest, and church Fall Festival. We didn’t get to see any of the eclipse because it stayed cloudy all day. It’s much cooler with some rain today. We turned on the propane heater just to knock the chill out.
