Good evening Christmas Friends!

I had two doctor's appointments today. One dealing with my blood clots and the other with my back. My primary is sending me to a Hematologist to try and figure out why I'm getting clots after surgery. But the good news is my back doctor has released me to start working from home starting tomorrow. I'm just waiting on the VP of engineering to approve it. My boss didn't think it would be a problem. I'm excited to get back at it and start getting 100% of my pay rather than 67% from short-term disability insurance.

I haven't seen 6:00 AM since I was in the hospital. Sleeping in past 8:00 had become a routine. But hopefully this morning it will be back to the grind pending VP approval.

We had storms and lots of rain last night and more is on the way today. But it should move out of the area by 4:00 PM. Should get up to 71F.

Good morning Christmas Friends!

Well, I worked all day yesterday without clearance from the VP and HR. So today I'm taking it easy and will not log into work until I've been given the clearance. So you all are stuck with me until that happens. LOL.

We ended up getting 6.9 inches of rain Tuesday night thru Wednesday morning. It was very localized so there wasn't much flooding. There was a lot of wind damage and power outages. Just not at my house. Today will be sunny with a high of 69F.

January 5th and I’m still enjoying my coffee and the quiet. And my Christmas tree lights!

All of our Christmas decorations are put away. Now I'm counting down the days until it all comes back out.

My Christmas tree is the only thing left up inside. My daughter bought me and my hubby new ornaments and I wanton display them as long as I can. I plan to take the tree down and get it all packed away this weekend. We had storms roll through a few days ago so I took down all the yard decorations before the high winds did it for me. The only thing left outside are some lights on the house and garland wrapped on the porch railing. I hit the after Christmas sales and I bought new icicle lights and net lights for the shrubs. I also found some wired garland CHEAP at a thrift store.

Overall I was happy with my Christmas decorating this year. The only thing I’d like to improve is my fireplace. My mantle was pretty blah. I think it’s time spend some time on Pinterest and pin some inspiration.

I’ve never been big on decorating for Valentines Day but I’ve really got into tiered tray decorating. I bought some cute Valentines wood blocks and I’m looking for more things for my tray.
