2022 Christmas Countdown and Updates

I know exactly what theme and how I’m decorating outside for Halloween. But Thanksgiving is tougher. I’m thinking about the turkey inflatable but I’m not sure.

Get the turkey and put him on a timer. I have mine hooked up to Alexa a programmed to come on 45 minutes before sundown and off at 11:00 PM. And come on again at 6:00 AM and off again at 8:00 AM. I do that in the morning for the kids across the street and for myself when I leave for work. Christmas lights are set to the same schedule also. I can't wait to decorate!

Today I got a letter from the local food bank seeking donations for their Thanksgiving food drive. Thanksgiving..Wow! Even though I knew it was time for that I didn’t quite realize it was time for that.

We just got a Labor Day Sale ad in the mail today.

The procedure went VERY well. I did not pass out and I'll tell you why. First, I told the doctor and nurses that I had been praying all morning that the Lord would ease my mind about everything. Then the doctor said she prayed for me this morning too. What a blessing to have a woman of faith perform this procedure. Let me just say, prayers were answered. This procedure is done with you sitting up and hunched over with an x-ray machine wrapped around you from the front. I warned them of my history of passing out and they said it happens every once in a while so it made me more comfortable knowing they know how to deal with it. After they got me prepped and were about to start, I started getting light-headed and I informed them of it. One nurse started putting towels across the x-ray machine so I wouldn't hurt my head if I fell over. That was sweet. The other started asking me questions about what Michelle and I like to do for fun. I said go to the beach and fall festivals. They kept me talking the whole time and before I could say much, the procedure was over. I was so relieved and I give all the praise to the Lord! Hopefully, I won't be as apprehensive next time.

Thank you again for the prayers. They are POWERFUL!

I developed health problems when I was pregnant and ended up with an emergency c-section. When it came time for the epidural my hubby was with me. As I was hunched forward the doctor said to get ready, it was gonna feel like a big ol wasp sting. Wrong thing to say! I HATE wasps and am really allergic to them so when he said that I naturally became tense. To this day on the first few days of really cold weather I can feel exactly where that needle went in. It might be all in my head but I can feel it. I’m glad you had such a compassionate doctor. And I’m super glad things turned out so well for you.

You poor thing. It is not a fun thing to go thru. Michelle can still feel hers from 26 years ago every great once in a while.

Good afternoon Christmas Friends!

After getting the shots in my back, I've had two nights of uninterrupted sleep. The sun has risen before me on both days and it feels so great.

Today, Michelle and I with four other couples went to church about an hour away. We're not looking to move to this church, but a friend of ours is the head pastor there and we've never attended one of their services. Which was wonderful and spirit led. We went to a local Mexican restaurant afterward and made it home around 4:00 PM. It has been a long day.
