I'm working from home for a little bit this morning before going to the doctor for my annual physical. I looked at my lab reports online and they look really good. Better than last time and they were really good then. So I don't see any big changes coming. I have been able to lose some weight lately. I've gotta get ready for the holiday pounds. I know they're coming.
I'm trying to finish up a big project at work this week so I can start on another one. I just hope some of my smaller projects don't slow me down.
It's going to be another warm one today. We're starting out at 73F with fog and will climb to 88F. A bit of a cool down today.

Yesterday I got the shingles vaccine and WOW, what a doozy of a night. I was in bed for 10 hours but didn't get much sleep until after 6 am. It felt like I was in and out of sleep every 15 minutes. At about 12:30 am I woke up with a fever but was too delirious to do anything about it. My whole body hurt and the dreams I was having were weird. It honestly felt like Covid again. I finally got up around 9:00 am and felt much better. I made it to work by 10:30.

A bunch of guys and I have been planning our church's annual men's retreat for the last several months and tomorrow night is the start of it. So tonight will be the final preparations. I'm really looking forward to it. But I'm also sad because this will be the last one after almost 30 years. I've helped plan the last 15 and it has been a joy. But the Lord is leading us in a different direction and we will most likely be serving in a different church soon. Anyway, it should be a great weekend. Now let's just hope it doesn't rain.
The old saying goes that for every fog in August you’ll have one snow. This is day 2 of thick morning fog. I sure hope one of these is a Christmas Eve snow.
