Did not sleep well last night. Tonight will be an earlier bedtime. It rained on me on the way to work this morning. Nothing hard, but it looks like that may be normal for most of today. Might see some sun in between the rain.
Michelle wants to go to the beach just for the day on Saturday. The high tide will be at 11:30 am. That means there will be very little sand for everyone to occupy when it's the busiest. 80% of the beach is underwater at high tide. Oh well. We'll get there early and claim our "spot".
The weather here has been brutal. We’ve had 100 degree days since June. We are now in a drought. The pastures are gone. We’re feeding hay in July. Even with our extra hayfield because of the cold and wet Spring the hay crop was about half of what it should be. If there’s no rain there’s no second cutting. We have half of what we need for Winter. And we’re already feeding it. Farming math makes me sad. We have a slight chance of rain this weekend so prayers are up and fingers are crossed for good measure. We may not all be in the same boat but we’re sure in the same storm. We’re in a mess folks. I’m in need of some Christmas Cheer.

I hate to hear that. We were headed toward a drought, but last week and this week we've had lots of rain. I wish it would move over to you all. Praying you get some soon.

Saw some Fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving directions in a store today. Just one aisle over from Back to School stuff. We’re on the downhill slide to Christmas.

We were at Home Goods last weekend and they had lots of Halloween and Thanksgiving stuff out. Exciting times just ahead.

It's a Three Dog Night kind of day, so I'm listening to their Greatest Hits album this morning before everything gets too busy. Might go to the beach tomorrow, might not. Michelle has told me what I want to do yet. LOL.
It's going to be a partly cloudy day with a high of 86. Not too bad. I'll have to make up some kind of excuse to go outside and look at some finished product.
I got in some good garden therapy this morning. I’m thankful I can keep everything watered. It’s a great feeling to be able to share the extras with family and friends who can’t grow their own. And some of our harvest always makes it’s way to our Thanksgiving and Christmas tables.

We were going to go to the beach today, but when we got up and looked at the forecasts, we thought tomorrow would be a much better day. So I went and got some donuts for breakfast then finished clearing trees from behind our fence. I like to keep a six-foot path for maintenance. So now I'm back inside cooling down for a while before I mow the yard. Later we're going to go see Where The Crawdads Sing.
