Good afternoon Christmas Friends!

Last night Michelle and I started showing Covid symptoms. This morning I felt like I got hit by a Mack truck. Fever, hoarse, stuffiness. Michelle felt fine, which is good news for her. I've quarantined myself away from her just in case she tests negative and I don't. Advil seems to help my fever go away. That and a two hour nap from 10:00 to 12:00 this morning.

It’s definitely a Winter Wonderland today. The big weather news is it got much colder much quicker than was predicted. So we only had a brief period of freezing rain yesterday before it changed to sleet. We’ve had sleet all day and a few minutes ago it changed to snow. All the animals are fed and I’m so thankful.

I'm still fighting whatever I have going on inside my body. We just got back from being tested for you-know-what. Results within 2 hours they said. I swear, everything I drink is coming back out my nose. I should have bought stock in Puffs.

Rich: Positive (Twice in 11 months )
Michelle: Negative

I have been banned to the other side of the house.
But at least Michelle doesn't have it.

We started our day at 14 degrees. Headed to a high of 45 today. Glad to see it melting although it’s making it super slick with all the sleet we got. I’ve made good use of these snow days by getting our taxes ready. Definitely one of my least favorite things but I’m so glad it’s done.

Good afternoon Christmas Friends!

This virus (who's name will not be spoken) stinks! The last 48 hours have been rough. Headache and head cold were the worst symptoms so far. But last night after supper I felt like things started turning for the better. And then when I woke this morning I knew that they had. I lost 80% of my sense of smell and taste some time between breakfast and lunch yesterday. It hasn't come back yet. Michelle is taking good care of me and she has not shown any signs of virus. PTL! I'm hoping to go back to work on Tuesday. We'll see.
