We're supposed to get a wet winter. But no snow.CandyKane wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 12:47 pm A cold front is coming through and bringing a good chance of rain tonight and tomorrow. We need it. The pastures are gone and we’re putting out feed. The weather guessers say this Winter will be just like the last one. While we can do without the negative temperatures we sure had lots of glorious snow. I just wish we got it at Christmas time and not in February.![]()

Re: 2021 Countdowns and Updates
Good morning and goodbye Summer!
The last day of Summer will be marked with the continuation of the celebration of the Bers. So... today will not be any different than yesterday. But at 3:20 PM tomorrow, we'll throw our hands up in the air and celebrate the arrival of the Autumn Equinox. Woot, Woot!
It was 74F and very humid with rain when I woke this morning and we'll have a high in the low to mid 80's. Our cool down will start tomorrow night when we'll dip down into the mid 50's. I can't wait.
Covid numbers continue to rapidly decline here. Praise the Lord!
Have a merry and blessed last day of Summer!!!

Good morning and Happy Fall Christmas Friends!
We had a lot of thunderstorms and a ton of rain last night. Local flooding that was very deep. We'll get some more late this afternoon before the drier, cooler air settles in.
BBQ sandwiches for supper tonight and then church.
Have a merry and blessed first day of Autumn!!!

Happy Wednesday Christmas friends!

Happy Fall Y’all! Thankful for every drop of rain we got Monday night and yesterday. The rain came with the cold front. 45 degrees this morning.
We have central heat and air, a wood furnace, a wood fireplace, an electric fireplace, and a propane heat stove. And we’re here playing that classic Fall game of just how cold can we get before we turn the heat on.

We ate out last night at a BBQ place where we’ve eaten a lot over the years. They were out of some menu items. Not because they couldn’t get them but because the price has more than doubled for them. There’s no way they can pass on the increases because people just won’t pay it. We ordered and enjoyed our meal and will be back soon. I’m glad to be able to support places like this. And I’ll be doing all I can to support local small businesses this Christmas.

My ramblings this morning…how can a person see another person suffering from COVID and your first inclination is to not offer a prayer or a positive thought? No your first inclination is to go into a vaccination rant while your watching someone else’s suffering. As if humans weren’t bad enough before they are positively vile now. It’s why I don’t facebook much at all anymore. You just can’t keep the nastiness out of your life. And all this took place on a gardening page??
I guess that’s why I cling to Christmas so much. Christmas is truly my happy place!

Amen sister! We all need to be more like Jesus. A friend of mine lost his son yesterday to Covid. Left behind a wife and three young boys. We are all heart broken.CandyKane wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 11:12 am My ramblings this morning…how can a person see another person suffering from COVID and your first inclination is to not offer a prayer or a positive thought? Re: 2021 Countdowns and Updates
Good morning Christmas Friends!
The first Autumn morning of the year did not disappoint. It was a cool 54F with no humidity for my drive into work. I had to put on a jacket. I believe this is the earliest I've worn a jacket since moving here 20 years ago.
The Bers truly are The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
Have a merry and blessed Thursday!!!
