Good morning Christmas Friends!

I hope you got to enjoy your weekend a little. It looks like Henri has just stopped and squatted on top of everyone in the NE .

Our son who lives near us has caught the Covid along with his other two house mates. We took him some food and drinks yesterday and he just sounded so pitiful. His biggest symptoms are head congestion and nausea. And of course no taste or smell.

We had to go to two separate grocery stores to get him drinks. The shelves were nearly bare. Hardly any water, juice, or milk. Not sure what's going on there.

Love those pictures from Cracker Barrel. It’s a favorite place of ours. I’ve already spent a bundle on my new Christmas tree. I guess I need to avoid that place until well after Christmas.

Good morning Christmas Friends!

I took some medicine and more water over to my son yesterday afternoon. He is so wiped out. The fatigue has him sleeping a lot when he's not coughing. I feel bad for him. Hopefully he'll turn a corner soon.

Yesterday evening I got the grass cut and everything trimmed. If it weren't for the heat I would have enjoyed it. I actually like taking care of the yard.

It will be hot and humid again today. I feel for those that have to work outside. They have to be miserable.

I love this time of year. I feel the change of seasons more now than any other time. We are busy with ballgames 4 nights a week now. You can just feel the buildup to Fall and see little bits of Christmas here and there.

Good morning Christmas Friends!

I put coffee in the filter, water in the maker, and forgot to hit the brew button. Doh! Coffee will be a little delayed this morning. I hope that's not an indicator of how today is going to be.

Last night our men's ministry leadership team served dinner to about 150 high school football players, coaches, and managers. What a blessing. Every one of them was thankful and kind. But it's sad to think that some of those boys wouldn't have had supper otherwise. School is the only stable thing in their life.

My son continues to get better in very small steps. But at least he's heading in the right direction. He texted me last night that he was able to comfortably lie on his side again.

Another hot and sticky day today.
