Good morning Christmas Friends!

Typical work day today. Plant is shut down again with part shortages. :roll-eyes: The inconsistency must be very frustrating for them. Not much else going on.

Have a merry and blessed day!!! :slightly-smiling:

I bought some Heritage Breeds postage stamps today. I love them so much I’m seriously thinking about buying some more for my Christmas cards. :rofl"

I’m thinking of changing things up this year and instead of physically packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child I might use the online build a box option. It’s $25 a box but that includes the suggested donation per box. I read that the online boxes are likely to go to the hard to get to places. Since we can track the boxes I think it would be neat to see some of these places they go.

Good morning Christmas Friends!

My mom had surgery this morning to remove part of her lung (cancer). No other cancer in her body, so she will not require any treatments. PTL!

Tonight after work, Michelle and I are going to Hobby Lobby to pick up some new Fall decorations. They finally went on sale.

We had a bunch of rain yesterday and it looks like we'll get more today. That will help keep the temps down with only a high of 83F today.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!!! :slightly-smiling:

Hello Christmas Friends!

I talked to mom last night after she got back from her walk. Yes, just hours after her surgery, she was walking around ICU and visiting with people. She's unbelievable. We talked for half an hour and she was doing great. And she said she might get to go home today if the drainage stops. She's 74 but you would never know it by looking at her.

It's going to be warm and muggy again today. Such are the days of summer in the South.

Have a merry and blessed day!!! :slightly-smiling:

One of my Moms oldest and dearest friends passed away yesterday. She had a procedure done Monday and was doing well through the surgery but she took a turn for the worse and it escalated quickly. I have lots of great memories of this sweet lady. One year when I was very young she made me and my brother and sister Christmas stockings. They were a beautiful green with toy blocks on each that spelled out our names. It’s funny with all the memories I have of her today this one stands out the most. :socksmiley:
