Ok I’m sure we’ve all seen where the Charlie Brown holiday specials aren’t being broadcast on network TV but will be available for streaming instead. It definitely won’t be the same but I have to watch Charlie Brown for Halloween and Christmas. I usually watch the Thanksgiving one too but it’s not as special to me as the other too. 2020 continues as a year of disappointments, firsts, and new traditions. Just struggling to make the best of it....just like everyone else.
It's an end of an era that lasted over 50 years. So sad. and disappointing.

We are all very sad! Yes I own a copy for us to watch but ABC is clueless about the point of families watching it together on tv each year! Many networks are weaving out any subtle reference even to Christ on Christmas. Even Hallmark now avoids the name in their movies. It breaks my heart but the church must start standing up and voicing our opinion if we have any hope of defending the few family value programs left for us to enjoy.
I am very disappointed that the Peanuts specials will not be on broadcast TV this year. It breaks my heart to know that a lot people will miss out this year and probably several more years depending on the length of contract Apple has. And it's just my favorite way to watch them. With the commercials.
But...
A whole new generation of viewers may be gained that would have never watched them over the air. There are a lot of people out there that only stream their TV shows. And with all the news of the specials not being on the networks, they just may go and watch them for the first time just to see what all the hype is about.
Maybe. Just maybe.
As long as folks like us are around. Peanuts will always be around. Now it's just transcending into the modern era of streaming TV. If it didn't, it just may have faded away with us.
Long live Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang!
