Insomnia stalks so I'm checking in at my favorite Christmas spot! I hope my Christmas friends awake to greet a beautiful new day as we countdown to Christmas! Living here means Christmas feels far away [in the heat] but still the anticipatory feelings rise each day the countdown declines. Merry Christmas Wednesday friends! :smile-heart-eyes:

Good morning everyone!

Wow! It's the middle of the month already. The Bers have been fantastic so far. All things considered.

I've been on vacation this week and not on my computer much. Except to make sure the budget wasn't getting blown up. :face-with-tongue:

Michelle and I are going to go early vote today. I hope the lines are not too long.

I hope all y'all are doing well. I'll try to get caught up this weekend.

Have a merry and blessed day!!!

CC: wishing you & Michele a joyous fun-filled vacation week! HO ho ho!! :smile-heart-eyes:

Awoke at 4am to find my phone completely dead. My sister recommended taking it to the store for battery replacement. I was shocked to learn all brands now come with 'internalized batteries' that cannot be replaced. When your phone is dead you must replace it with a new. I reviewed 'sale' prices on Amazon and almost faited from sticker shock. Plus it means waiting a week for delivery, then transferring all apps/data/again to new phone. I loved my Motoe4+ in antique gold. :disappoint:

It made me one grouchy elf this morning. Then I realized I had asked God for a new adventure! Now this was not my idea of venture, but.........I am listening, learning & growing through the experience. So I won't be online as much because at home I use my laptop, like now, but when out n about without a phone it means onlining only at home.

Enjoy your Brrr weather! I keep hoping to wake up to a cool morning anytime now. :grin-big-eyes:

We woke up to Christmas cold...40 degrees F this morning. :cold: They had forecast a frost for us but no frost for us here. I had carried in a gazillion houseplants so I’m carrying them back out to soak up the sun today. I need a better greenhouse and it’s on my Christmas list. Might not be right now but a girl can dream. :smiling-face:

That's a cool Christmas planner CK!
Plus I agree with CC: you're one power shopper!

I only ordered a cover for my new Fire -- early Christmas gift from my brother -- and I love it! Saving $ means more for Samaritan Purse Christmas Child boxes too!

Wishing each of you an awesome Saturday!! :smile-heart-eyes:

My current obsession...my Happy Planner. Life is so much better when I’m organized. I’m working on my Christmas section now. There’s just so much inspiration out there. :expresents:

I’ve been thinking about my mother in law today. Last Christmas wasn’t the best one for her. She had planned her Christmas dinner months in advance and gave everyone ample time to prepare. The day before both her step children called her up to say they weren’t coming. And her other sons wife was miffed about who knows what and she wasn’t coming. She called me upset but said she was just cancelling dinner. I said you know what we’ve still got to eat tomorrow so I’m just making what I’ve got planned and bringing it anyways. She cooked some and the grandkids still came and the grown ones brought dishes too. And her other son (minus one mad wife) showed up for a free meal. And we had a perfectly lovely day. No one knew that would be her last Christmas. After the year we’ve had..Christmas 2020 is gonna mean a little bit more. :like2:

We just started buying things for the shoe boxes. We have a long way to go. But it's a lot of fun. :grinning-face:

Michelle and I went to two Fall Arts and Crafts festivals today. We had such a wonderful time. Lots of Christmas items for sale. I think we have a few more coming up in the next few weeks. :slightly-smiling:
