I love advent calendars and every year I buy one for myself. Stickers, puzzles, just fun little things to look forward to everyday. This year I have found a perfect one for me. It’s way more expensive than what I would normally spend but I’m gonna splurge and do it.

I forgot to add that the best thing about my advent calendar is it’s handmade from a small business that’s just getting started. This Christmas I want to support more small businesses and charities. And I’m also hand making some of my gifts. I have more Christmas Spirit this year than I have had in a very long time.

Happy Saturday Christmas friends!

We had a fun Friday night. Our daughter and her boyfriend were here for supper. Afterwards we carved pumpkins and watched a Halloween movie. I had forgotten how much I love fresh roasted pumpkin seeds.

We went to a Harvest Craft Festival this morning. Lots of cute stuff but I didn’t buy anything except some baked goods. I came home and donated the money that I would have spent on unnecessary ‘stuff’ to an animal rescue that’s struggling to stay open. It’s funny how your priorities chance in life.
