So many prayer calls overnight to participate in through dawn this morning for the President & First Lady to heal completely from Covid-19. Trusting Jesus to turn this into a victory that only He could engineer for this family!

Good afternoon friends!

Last night we watched Casper the Friendly Ghost and Michelle watched Hocus Pocus for the second time until she fell asleep. Love this time of year.

We have lived in our current house almost 19 years now with the same neighbors on each side of us the whole time... Until this past weekend when the couple on one side moved to Texas to be closer to family. They've been retired for a while now so I don't blame them. But I hated to see them go. They were great neighbors. But then I met the new neighbors last night. Well, I met the guy. I think we may have got an upgrade. He was super, super nice. We had a great conversation last night in the driveway. I'm looking forward to getting to know them better.

Have a merry and blessed day!

Happy Friday a Christmas friends!

I just mailed off my donation to the local food bank for their Thanksgiving food drive. I also picked up a couple of boxes for Operation Christmas Child. This year we will be packing the boxes on our own then taking them to the church for collection week. I know we’ll be doing one for a boy and one for a girl. Hopefully we can do more but I just couldn’t commit to more right now. Our plate is pretty full already. ‘Tis almost the Season

As you know CK, this is my favorite charity also. Every year our situation is different so our giving level for the boxes is flexible. One way it helps my heart is to sign up for monthy giving. That way it is a manageable amount monthly, and then for the Operation Christmas Child boxes we do what is possible.

Bless your heart for giving faithfully to this awesome charity that has the heart of Jesus at its core!!

Happy Saturday my Christmas friends!

It is a quiet day in my home. This morning several virtual Bible studies, prayer & communion filled up the morning hours until now. It doesn't feel like Autumn is coming until I read your Christmas posts!! Wishing you a lovely day!

Good morning everyone!

Well, the first weekend of October is behind us. I for one had a marvelous weekend. I got to fire up the firepit twice. Fri and Sun nights. I miss having the kids out there with me. Why do they have to grow up so fast?

I saw a few signs in the neighborhood this morning that said "We hang Christmas lights. Call ###-###-####". It won't be long.

Have a merry and blessed day!!!

Happy Monday Christmas friends!

My Christmas tree was in sad shape so I finally tossed it to the curb. Now I’m shopping for a new one and am seriously considering a white tree or at least a heavily flocked one. White just makes those Christmas colors pop.

That will be cool!

Good morning cheerful Christmas fans!

Day 2 of the week and ready to tackle the world. OK, maybe not the whole world. But ready to tackle my little world here at work. Only 7 more hours and I'm going home.

Have a merry and blessed day!!!

Right now it feels like Christmas is months away in these temperatures and smoke-filled skies but I am celebrating the 80 day mark because Jesus is my Joy!

Good afternoon everyone!

Just two more days of work until my vacation starts. I love taking off from work this time of year. So enjoyable with the mild temps. Today and tomorrow we will have warmer temps. Highs in the mid 80's. Then wet this weekend.

My new Pit Boss vertical smoker arrives today. Friday I'll get that put together and seasoned and if the weather holds up I'll smoke a chicken Saturday.

Have a merry and blessed day!!!

It's just another Wednesday here except Phoenix was declared "open for business" again last evening. Still some retail stores have not opened up again. Maybe now stores will put up Autumn decorations and then Christmas will follow in November!

Happy Wednesday Christmas friends!
