It is 67F this morning here. So I grabbed my laptop and am sitting on the front porch with Daisy enjoying my coffee. It hasn't been this cool in the morning for a very long time.
Not too much planned for today after church. Maybe I'll work on the fire pit area a little more. Need to collect and stack some kindling wood.
We ended up going boating around the lake yesterday afternoon with friends. It was so beautiful and sunny with a high of 87. Water was very warm but still refreshing.
This morning it was 64 outside when I got up to cook breakfast (Pancakes and bacon). So nice. We'll reach 87 again today.
I need to mow the yard and give the dog a bath today. Then just relax and enjoy our Labor Day.

We're scheduled for a one-day cool down today: under 115, yes.....under 110F, yes......why maybe under 100F!! Time to get out the sweaters............for a day, but this snow-missing Momma will take it joyfully! Now it will feel like there really is an Autumn and maybe it will be here by October. Ok, or atleast November.

Ho Ho Ho
I hope you cool down soon Noel. Are you getting any of the smoke from California?
Yes, Christmas Crazy, the atmosphere is filled with sooty smoke. It also stinks!
Our high Wednesday was 96F and tomorrow should be at or under 100F!!f I am enjoying it very much. But Friday-Mon we are in the 110-115F range.........again.
Still sunrise is now after 5am and sundown a bit earlier too. Less full sun hours does wonders for my psyche as September always brings memory of the air turning crisper as Autumn days approach.

Coffee is percolating and smells so good. Can't wait for that first cup. Cloudy and drizzly this morning and 75F. High will be 86.
FINALLY!
I just found out that my extra duty of scanning temperatures in the afternoon at work will end today. They've hired more security guards to take it over. Now I can put 8 hours a day toward my job instead of 7.
