I had a very busy day today. We moved my son Austin back home while he's looking for another job. He didn't really want to, but he knew it was his best option for the time being. After that Michelle and went to Hobby Lobby and bought some thick fuzzy socks as Christmas presents for my daughter and my boys' girlfriends. Then we went to At Home a bought some more Easter Decorations. Then I mowed the yard. Now I'm just relaxing.

We’re social distancing here. School is cancelled so this is the first time I’ve been shopping all week. Just a quick grocery trip for a few necessities and some things my elderly in laws needed. Hallmark has a Christmas movie marathon and that’s been a bright spot.

We watched Christmas Under Wraps last night. I was surprised Michelle was willing to watch a Christmas movie.

My head cold has gotten a lot better. Still have some drainage issues, but manageable. Looking forward to online church today. I miss hugging everyone's neck, but this will have to do until we can congregate again. It's sunny right now but the rain is coming this afternoon. My plan for the rest of the day is to rest.

I'm not sure about this whole thing of putting back the Christmas lights during the pandemic. I know the lights are pretty and bring cheer. But that cheer comes from Christmas, not the lights. And I don't want Christmas being associated with a virus. Can you imagine all the 5 year olds ten years from now? They'll be asking each other "Do you remember the pandemic of 2020?", "I sure do, worst Christmas ever! No presents and we had to stay home".

Well, that's just my ramblings.

I wouldn’t put all my Christmas lights back up. I’ve seen where some people have used their light strands to outline big hearts. I think that’s a sweet idea to say thank you to all those who are on the front lines of this. Also red ribbons are being wrapped around trees and mailboxes as a show of thanks.

I'm at work today with the rest of my coworkers. Business as usual. But wondering if the hammer will fall and we'll shut down for a while or not. Until then we'll get as much accomplished as possible.

At work yesterday, I was volunteered by my boss to either come in 2 hours early every day or stay 2 hours over (yet to be determined) to work in the newly setup employee screening station. Everyone who enters the plant will have to pass a body temperature screening. If you don't pass (less than 100.2 temp), you are sent home with a form and can't come back until your doctor releases you. There are five of us from the engineering department, including my boss, that have been volunteered. And I'm sure we'll be in full MOPP-4 gear. Oh well, it won't last forever.
