Gulf Shores was fabulous as always but this gal is glad to be home. Daughters attending the music fest and todays the last day so she stayed with friends and will be coming back tomorrow. It’s been nice. She’s had her friends and music, hubby’s had about all the seafood he could eat, and I have just relaxed. It was much needed. Daughter is basically finished with school but she’ll have to go back a couple days to get everything squared away. Then our real summer break begins!

Did you see any Man o' War on the beach? I heard they were bad this year.

We didn’t. But with the crowds we didn’t venture as far from our beach house as we usually do.

Hopefully they're gone for the summer. We'll be down there in July.

Our usual time to go would be July or first of August. I would like to go off season sometime…October maybe. Hubby was working in South Louisiana many years back and we drove to the Mississippi Coast in September. This was pre Katrina and it was very nice. Low crowds and beautiful weather.

Good morning Christmas Friends!

I am working from home again and seem to be getting more done than usual. Which is great. I guess it's because I'm not having to stop every hour and help someone else with their project or issue. I don't mind helping at all. But it sure is nice being able to stay focused. Today will be a carbon copy of yesterday weatherwise. (Kids, ask your grandparents what a carbon copy is. ) Sunny and warm with a high of 84F. The humidity will supposedly drop around 11:00 AM, so I may open some windows and let the house air out a bit.

The forecast is looking really good for our beach trip this weekend. Plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid 80s. Exactly what you want when you head to the coast. Today, we will have a mix of sun and clouds with a high 87F. Right now I have a window open in the den trying to enjoy some of the cool morning air.
