2022 Christmas Countdown and Updates

It rained last night! Glorious rain. Thunder and lightning and rain. With more to fall today. You have no idea how happy this makes me. Think Christmas happy!

We got in a short beach trip. Daughters bestie had never been to the beach or even on a trip like that so we took them. We had planned a nice long family vacation this summer but one got hurt and had surgery and is still on crutches. Ones working in California and his job ran longer than expected. And the other is mad at us. Just plain mad…over inheritance. Which really blows my mind. People are ridiculous! If she’s not unmad by Christmas I guess she’ll just miss out.

My girl got co captain of her cheer team. She was a little surprised but a whole lot excited. This year there are new coaches and they are all about helping these girls succeed with confidence. It’s nice to have teachers and coaches that actually care.

My girls belly button ring is swimming with the fishes so we stopped by this cute little beach shop for a new one. They did henna tattoos there so on our way out of town we stopped back by so the girls could get tattoos. I’ve been looking for a good henna kit to buy for Christmas but I don’t know much about it so I’m researching what’s good. I did find her a set of body markers and went ahead and ordered them. I don’t see this stupid supply chain junk getting better anytime soon.

I saw a post about a shortage of candy this Halloween. If there’s one thing I would hoard it would be candy. wonder what they’ll throw off the Christmas floats?

Happy rainy Saturday Christmas friends!

We are so thankful for the rain here but reading the stories of the flooding in Kentucky just breaks my heart.

I got a Lakeside Halloween catalog. It has a few Christmas things in it. Looking forward to their big Christmas catalog.

Good morning Christmas Friends!

We had a nice time at the beach yesterday. It got up to 100F, but what a great place to be when it does. Might be our last trip of the year. We'll see. Today will be yard work day after church and lunch.

Have a merry and blessed day!!!

Happy Sunday Christmas friends!

No Operation Christmas Child packing party at church again this year but the church that hosts collection week always welcomes everyone to pack boxes with them. Last year we did a mix of packing and online packing. We’ll probably do that again this year. I love that it’s already time to start working on OCC plans.

75 degrees and raining. Such a welcome relief from the brutal weather we’ve endured. Rainy days always put me in the mood for Christmas.
