We were going to go to the beach today, but when we got up and looked at the forecasts, we thought tomorrow would be a much better day. So I went and got some donuts for breakfast then finished clearing trees from behind our fence. I like to keep a six-foot path for maintenance. So now I'm back inside cooling down for a while before I mow the yard. Later we're going to go see Where The Crawdads Sing.

Have a merry and blessed day!!! :slightly-smiling:
I read the book and I really wanted to love it but it was just ok for me. :unamused: It was just too sad. Great writing but there was just something about it that I couldn’t connect with. Im debating going to see the movie. Let me know what you think about it.

No significant rain for us for the next 3 weeks. At least. It is what it is and it ain’t good. I’m dreaming of days filled with nice slow rain and fluffy white Christmas snow. :snowball:

Good morning Christmas Friends!

Drove to work this morning in a light rain shower. It looks like more is coming. We will only have a high of 88F today.

I'll leave work early this afternoon to get x-rays and an MRI on my back. It's been bothering me the last few months. I already have a fusion of L3-4-5. Now the issues are working their way up my spine. I'm hoping to get a spinal injection soon. The last one relieved the pain for a couple of years. Anyway, God's got this. I'm just along for the ride.

Have a merry and blessed day!!! :slightly-smiling:

We stopped at a farm stand and bought the best watermelon. I wish I good grow them but I’ve just never had much luck. I saw some really cute Christmas in July ideas using watermelon. One super easy one was just to cut up pieces with Christmas shaped cookie cutters. :eat-cookies:

I’ve got to share the little bit of Christmas Joy I got today. I shared awhile back that my husband ended up with his family piano. We really have no use for it but we’re keeping it for sentimental value. I didn’t know how to decorate it for Christmas last year and realized one thing it was missing was a Christmas songbook on the stand. I looked through the songbooks stored in the bench but didn’t see anything but today I was going through them and found a complete Christmas one. It’s old and the binding had come undone so I guess my mother in law just stuck the pages in another songbook. The pages are in perfect shape and include some illustrations. I had actually been searching eBay and Etsy to see if I could find one. To find one that belongs to family makes it extra special. I plan on displaying some pages for Christmas and I might even use some of the pages for other crafts. It’s the little things in life that mean so much. :lovehearts:

Unfortunately, I could not get my x-rays and MRI completed yesterday because insurance has not approved them yet. They are such a pain (dare I say "in my backside"?). So I've been rescheduled for the end of July. Most people with back issues have it far worse than me. I'm glad I can still get relief with injections. Thank you for thinking of me.
