I had a very nice Mothers Day. My girl and her boyfriend took us out to eat then we did a little shopping. We even cruised some car lots getting some ideas for the kid. She got her drivers permit awhile back and can get her license soon. Time is flying by way too fast for this Momma.

Me:Its time to buy you a vehicle. So what’s your financial plan to help with that.

Sis:Well I thought I’d just start eating everything from the garden. That’ll save us a bunch of money.

Me:That’s your big plan??

Sis:Yep

I think we need to put more thought in the plan.

We are only 27 weeks from Thanksgiving week. That means next week we'll be halfway there.

Almost halfway to Thanksgiving? Christmas is coming back at reindeer speed.

Good morning Christmas Friends!

I'm having a bit of a late start today. I woke up at 4:30 this morning with a fever. I got up, took some Tylenol, and went back to bed. At 5:30 I woke up in a pile of sweat and the fever was gone. Throughout it all, I've felt fine. Never better. It's weird. So I texted my boss what was going on and told him I would be working from home. But not for a couple more hours. I wanna make sure everything is alright.

So for now I will eat some breakfast and listen to some Christmas music.

Good morning Christmas Friends!

Boy oh boy, whatever I had yesterday hit me hard. The fever persisted all day and I slept a lot. I felt like I got hit by a Mack truck. With all that rest and over eight hours of sleep last night, I feel much better this morning. I'm going to work from home today and skip church tonight just to make sure I don't spread anything around.

We had rain overnight and it looks like we'll get more later this afternoon. Right now it's sunny and 70F outside. If it wasn't so humid, I'd move everything out onto the front porch and work there today.

Today feels like Black Friday to me. Weird, right? It's my own fault. Yesterday, I watched the last half of last year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and it transported my mind right to Thanksgiving Day. When I woke up this morning, my mind instantly thought it was Black Friday. I'm sure being home instead of at work had something to do with it also. Crazy!

I saw Uncle Jesse from The Dukes of Hazard and Festus from Gunsmoke in the movie. It's been over 40 years since I've watched Grizzly Adams.
