We are short-staffed in our experimental department, so today I get to wear my shop clothes and turn wrenches for myself. In my 24+ years there, this is a first, and I'll be doing something I've never done before, fabricating steel brake lines for my prototype vehicle. It should be interesting and fun. Plus, it will be a nice day with a high of 75F.

We got the tree and bush planted after work yesterday. Now all we need to do is finish the landscaping around the tree. I'll be back out in experimental finishing up the brake lines this morning. It's been fun, but the cuts I received yesterday prove I don't get to work with my hands much. LOL. It is chilly right now at 44F, but this afternoon will be gorgeous with lots of sun and a high near 80F.
We’ve decided to sell one of our properties. We met with the realtor and contractor yesterday and the contractor is coming back today to get started. Patience is not a virtue that I am blessed with so I’m hoping to stay out of it and leave it to the professionals. I do have a young man coming to help me with some outside cleanup. Ready to get it started….and over with.

We had supper with Austin last night. It was nice to see him, if only for an hour. He lives in a house with three other guys and he told us that they keep a Christmas wreath on the outside of the bathroom door year-round so that it is easier for guests to find. You gotta love it. It's 60F this morning, but our high will only reach 68F today. I'll be working in experimental again today. Hopefully this will be the last day and I get all my work done. We'll see.
Yesterday’s wind was absolutely insane. There were two fires caused by trees that fell on power lines. One was very close to us and it burned someone’s home. A huge pine tree fell across the highway really close to our place. Hubby helped clean that mess up. Thankful for all the crews who were working out in that horrible weather.
