Michelle's surgery went well and she is resting comfortably at home now. The doctor said one of the screws might have been causing the irritation, so it may not be a metal allergy. We sure hope so. So for now, nurse Rich is on duty for the next several days.

Today will be cloudy with a high of 74F.

I’m glad Michelle is doing so well after surgery.

We are finally having some nice Fall weather. Cool and crisp nights and mornings and beautiful sunshiney days.

It’s time to start planning Thanksgiving dinner. Working around everyone’s schedules in never easy but hopefully we’ll get to have our big family meal on Thanksgiving Day.

For several years now I’ve kicked off November by rereading one of my favorite books ‘A Redbird Christmas’. It really puts me in the holiday mood.

Even though I know that it’s less than 3 weeks until Thanksgiving I am still shocked that it’s less than 3 weeks until Thanksgiving. I’ve started a whole house deep cleaning. I also started my menu and grocery lists. I am hoping to stay ahead of everything so I don’t start to feed overwhelmed and can just enjoy the whole holiday season.
