Good morning Christmas Friends!

It was a dreary, rainy morning. But now there's plenty of sunshine and we'll see a high of 70F.

Today is surgery prep day. I need to get my overnight bag and go-home clothes ready. I should be able to come home on Wednesday. I'm going to have Michelle cut my hair really short tonight. That will make washing my hair with a rag much easier for her until I can shower on my own. Lifting your hands above your head can put a big strain on your back after surgery. I'll try to check in from the hospital. It just depends on how I am feeling. You probably won't hear from me on Monday.

Well, bad news. I got up at 4:00 AM, got ready, made it to the hospital by 5:30 AM, and while waiting at the surgery center for the doors to open at 5:45, I got a call from the hospital stating that my doctor is sick and will have to reschedule. Ugh! If I weren't in so much pain I wouldn't mind it. I hope he feels better soon. So now I'll work from home today and wait to hear from his office.

Let me tell you about our Thanksgiving. It was good. Like very good. It was just us and my daughters boyfriend. Yup she’s got her first real boyfriend. We watched the parade then had a lovely dinner. Then they went to his family’s Thanksgiving. They spent several hours there then came back to help decorate our Christmas tree. We didn’t hear anything from the daughter that’s mad but son called and then FaceTimed his sister and daughter in law sent lots of pictures. My sister didn’t feel like getting out so I took her and her husband plates. Thankful for a day we’ll spent!

Good morning Christmas Friends!

I talked with the surgery scheduler yesterday afternoon and she said she was meeting with the doctor today to reschedule my surgery. She said it should be very soon. I'm thinking Monday at the earliest.

When Michelle gets off of work, we are going to go early vote for our senate runoff. Then we may go look at the Christmas lights in Macon. So there are two pluses to the delayed surgery. The glass is half-full, right?

It's going to be a warm one today with a high in the lower 70s. Rain will move into the area tonight.
