Today will be just a normal workday and an awesome autumn day. Cloudy with a high of 79F. I wish I could work outside all day.

It’s been a beautiful Fall day. I enjoyed some time with a good friend and I really enjoyed our visit. Tonight’s an easy supper of leftovers. I’m almost finished with the current book I’m reading so I might start a Christmas book.

My daughter helped me set up some of my Halloween before she left. I think I’ll finish the rest tomorrow isince it’s October 1st.

I used to see posts from a family that put their Christmas tree up every October 13th and kept it up through January. There was a reason for that date but I can’t remember why. I personally know people using Christmas lights for year round porch lights

I’m trying to do a little updating around here before Thanksgiving. I ordered new curtains for the big window in my dining room this morning. I also need to figure out where I’m going to put the houseplants I need to bring in for the Winter.

The 2025 Scentsy Christmas collection is out and oh my goodness…..they have a Snoopy Christmas warmer. I have Christmas warmers. But I don’t have a Snoopy warmer. They even have Snoopy bars.

It’s another gorgeous Fall day! The sunshine is keeping it warm but we have a nice soft breeze. I cleaned my porch off and am debating putting pretty Fall pillows out. But as soon as I do my cats, my neighbors cats, and cats I’ve never seen before wiill show up to nap on my porch.

I set some big blow mold Jack o lanterns in my big flower bed. I’ve had them for many years and they are still some of my favorite Halloween decorations.

I got my new dining room curtains up and they look so good! Now i need to change the valance in my big kitchen window. I’ve never really had themed curtains in this window but I’m going to buy one with a Fall/Thanksgiving print. If I like it I’ll buy another one for Christmas. I can also decorate the window ledge to match each holiday.

It’s another beautiful Fall morning. It was perfect outside for my walk this morning. I’ve still got one hummingbird feeder out and I’m keeping it filled for the few stragglers that are stopping by. I already miss enjoying my morning coffee with them.

The USPS has raised its prices on packages through the Christmas season. It’s a good thing I don’t mail many packages anymore. The price of postage stamps is bad enough.

It’s the first week of October and there are already so many businesses running ‘Black Friday’ sales. There is just so much competition. I saw one business that makes handmade leather goods post that at the sale prices they are already running that they make zero profit. They are just hoping to keep going until next year. I buy quite a bit from this place and I’m guilty of waiting for the sales to buy.

We’ll actually be spending more on Christmas this year than we have in recent years. One reason is my daughters grown now so she gets more grown up gifts. I’ve also been saving for months so we can splurge a little.
