Good morning Christmas Friends!

We had some heavy downpours come thru last night. So now I expect the grass to take off and grow like crazy again. Today looks to be very hot and humid with a high of 97F.

Only 20 weeks until Christmas Day! Now I'm off to the funny farm, a.k.a. work.

Have a merry and blessed day!!!

Happy Monday Christmas friends!

Woke up to thunder and rain moving through this morning. This is from our long awaited and much appreciated cold front. Triple digit heat has been horrible! Rainy mornings always put me in a Christmas mood.

Good morning Christmas Friends!

We had some strong storms move thru the area yesterday and knocked out the power to 160,000 people. My neighborhood just got wet with very little wind. I have a doctor's appointment this morning for my annual physical. I know I will hear, "Lose a little weight, eat healthier, and your cholesterol is a little high". After that, I'm off to work.

Have a merry and blessed day!!!

Good morning Christmas Friends!

Boy oh boy did we get hit with storms yesterday. I thought the school system was crazy when they canceled all after-school programs yesterday afternoon. But they were right. We got several inches of rain in 30 minutes, 50-60 MPH winds, and power outages. We only lost power for about 2 seconds. Just enough to make things turn off and right back on. After it was over, I went to a friend's house and helped him clear a path thru his driveway where a large tree fell across it. My neighbor 3 houses down lost half a tree in his front yard. Today will be sunny and no rain or storms. PTL!

Have a merry and blessed day!!!

Happy Wednesday Christmas friends!

Glad you made it through the storms ok Christmas Crazy. We had a thunder shower last night and have had rain off and on all day. Tonight’s when the real storms are supposed to hit. The forecast is for possible tornado/hail storms. That’s April weather for us. Definitely not August. And definitely not looking forward to it.

We got to spend a little time at the lake with family before the kids head back to school. The weather was perfect and we had a beautiful shady lot. We stayed at a campground I haven’t been to since I was a kid. Sis got in some kneeboarding and the guys did a whole lot of fishing. Such an enjoyable and relaxing time.

This cool and rainy day called for a homemade apple pie. I didn’t know just how much I was missing Fall.
